My Approach

In our meetings, I will listen deeply, challenge you respectfully, and ask questions that can help us better understand connections and patterns in your life.

As a team, we will examine these patterns and identify how responding differently to them can relieve distress and help you create more of what you want in life.

I use an integrative approach that draws on trauma-informed, existential, cognitive behavioural, and solution-focused approaches.

I have been trained in many modalities, including Multidimensional Family Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, The Unified Protocol, EMDR, Solution Focused Therapy, and Reflective Supervision. I have been a trainer in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics and Neurosequential Model of Education, teaching hundreds of people the core concepts of trauma-informed care.

Areas of focus:

  • Adolescents and adults (ages 15+)
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
  • Life transitions
  • Psychological impacts of illness and injury
  • Grief and loss
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Trauma
  • Infertility and reproductive loss
  • Identity development
  • Relationships
  • Parenting concerns
